The box truck at work won’t start and won’t crank (dash has power) . Stopped while running last week. Any ideas? I know there are probably more factors to look at. Both batteries are reading 12.1v, and apparently it’s a 12v system since they’re in serries? I don’t know, I haven’t done big truck stuff since highschool working for my dad.
We’re trying to sell the truck and starting vs not starting truck is a big price difference. Not running we’re asking $3k obo if there are any Atlanta area Oppos looking for a box truck. Any help to get it running would be appreciated. It’s a 2005 GMC T7500 if that helps.

My only guess is to check the ground. Not sure what else would stop it running, and also mean it won’t crank. If the ground looks fine, check for power at the starter and work back from there until you get to a broken
part, or a short, in theory

I was thinking it might be a ground too. Some of the grounds definitely look disconnected, but there are like, a lot of ground points on this thing.
I haven't popped the cab open yet, this is pretty far outside of what I do at work and have other things to be working on that aren't playing mechanic. Might do it at lunch or after work. Thanks!

12.1 volts means the battery has only 25%. 12.6 volts or above is a full charge. Charge the batteries and use a jumper cable directly to the starter to check that the starter works.

I figured it was low because we have all been trying to get it started running the battery down. I'll try that, thanks!

If the batteries are in series, it’s a 24V system (that would have the batteries linked positive-to-negative)
Charge one battery at a time, don’t try to charge both at once in that case

Right right. They appear to be in parallel, but I’m not looking at it. They’re in a 12v configuration.
I always get them mixed up. Serries and parallel and brake and break.

It’s a long shot, but I had a very similar thing happen with my Raider - just stopped running, and
wouldn’t crank. The positive battery cable had a worn spot that contacted the body, taped that up and then it started.

Isuzu are always reliable, so i’m clueless.
